It was a spontaneous chat with the chef at The Drapers Arms which led to Swaledale Butchers® receiving its first wholesale order. Since then the business has evolved organically, connecting with restaurants who share our farming values. Word of mouth recommendations between chefs has allowed Swaledale to build capacity gradually, in rhythm with its expanding relationships in the restaurant community.
Our ethos of heritage breeds and whole carcass butchery takes many guises on tables across the country. Our meat sparks the imagination of chefs and is open to interpretation; it is something that we take great pride in.

Orders received before 9am are freshly prepared and shipped DPD for next day delivery. We serve the whole of the UK excluding Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, and some parts of Scotland.
