The Swaledale Classic Steak Box is a celebration of the big three, Dexter, Highland and Belted Galloway; the best of heritage cattle farmed right here in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Classic Steak Box contains 3 prime cuts from the beast, all dry-aged to perfection in our Himalayan salt chamber. You’ll enjoy steaks that are succulent, surprisingly tender, buttery in texture and that possess a deep, complex natural flavour. These attributes are rarely all found in one cut, this meat is unrivalled in quality on the carcass.

It’s a winning combination; the low intensity methods of our farmers, the free roaming lifestyle of our cattle, and the rich and diverse diet of foraged grasses makes for the very finest steaks.

"Think classic steaks, and the mind jumps to classic garnishes; chips and a well made sauce – it's hard to go wrong down this route. However, there are other options if you've had your fill of steak and chips. A salad of rocket and watercress, dressed with a hazelnut dressing and then finished with a blizzard of finely grated parmesan is a mouthwatering combination; the parmesan provides that umami rich seasoning. A dish of perfectly ripe tomatoes, seasoned with care and then dressed in a tonnato sauce would work wonderfully well. A particular favourite of mine, is to fry leaves of radicchio in crushed garlic, fresh rosemary nettles and plenty of olive oil, then dress with good vinegar and capers. The natural bitterness of the leaves is a pleasing contrast to the deep flavour of the beef."
