The festive season may be the most wonderful time of the year - or so they say. Even if you're not the biggest fan, it's hard to deny that it's the perfect time for socialising, eating, and drinking. With these festivities in mind, we’ve crafted a cocktail sausage that will keep you smiling and satisfied throughout the season.

Rather than sticking to the classic cocktail sausage, delicious as they may be, we wanted to take things up a notch. Our talented sausage production team embraced the challenge, drawing inspiration from the change of season and the abundance of venison and game birds. The result? A cocktail party sausage that's simply exceptional. Made from venison shoulder and a mix of game bird breasts, complemented by bacon and pork shoulder for the perfect fat content, this sausage has a balanced blend of herbs, spices, honey, and a splash of port for that festive cheer.

Picture bowls of these sausages on tables as champagne corks pop at your Christmas drinks party. A shot glass of cocktail sticks nearby, ready for the taking. But instead of the usual honey mustard glaze, we suggest something different: once the sausages are cooked, tip in a generous pour of Cumberland sauce, allowing it to coat the sausages as they cool slightly in the pan. Transfer to a bowl and watch as your guests' faces light up with unbridled festive joy.

Venison shoulder and breast (38%), mixed game bird breast (26%), pork shoulder and belly (20%), dry-cured smoked streaky bacon (5%) (pork belly, coarse sea salt, unrefined brown sugar, preservatives (sodium nitratesodium nitrite)), port wine (sulphur dioxide, sulphites), rice flour, coarse sea salt, sugar, honey, fresh thyme, ground juniper, green peppercorn, ground black pepper, preservative (sulphur dioxide), ginger root powder, onion powder, ground nutmeg seed, ground mace.
