The Native Breed Mutton Box

The Native Breed Mutton* Box is a celebration of the Swaledale, Lonk and Dalesbred; hardy breeds of hill sheep that characterise the Yorkshire Dales.

By virtue of the ewes 2+ years of age spent living wild and free on this ancient, wild landscape, our heritage breed mutton has a full and rich flavour, characterised by an entirely natural diet of grasses, herbs and heather. This unique taste is the mutton's crowning glory, the additional age ensuring endless culinary possibilities from tagines and curries to tandoori-marinated chops or shoulder of mutton w/ bitter herbs & honey.
