Free Range Herb-fed Chicken Drumsticks

Inexpensive and delicious, free range chicken drumsticks are perfect for marinading and grilling or slow cooking until the dark meat is tender and sweet, the bone retaining moisture and flavour. We love a buttermilk marinade, followed by a flour-egg-breadcrumb coating and baking or frying to crisp perfection.

We’ve been working with North Yorkshire poultry farmer Edward Wilkinson for many years. His birds are entirely free range and slowly grown in small flocks, allowing them to exhibit all their natural instincts outside; foraging, pecking the grass. soaking up the sunshine, or rain, as they choose. Their diet includes over 10 herbs, enhancing the depth of flavour - they are a bestseller to our restaurant community!
